Post-punk will never die.
Dear lord, I love this band.

Dear lord, I love this band.
Drive-by distraction video post because I’m getting ready to take ye hubby out to see Star Trek: Into the Darkness, where I can revel in Benedict Cumberbatch’s screen presence (and voice OMG!) and shriek in fury at stupid, gratuitous, sexist bra-and-panties moments involving female officers. I also saw Iron Man 3 last week and will yammer endlessly about that movie later. Okay, maybe not endlessly…
So – since I’m firmly on entertainment mode, I thought I’d fangirl the fantastic combo of Florence and the Machine and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
I haven’t seen The Great Gatsby as I’m not that keen on the book even if I appreciate Fitzgerald’s style and the book’s point. I’m also not too keen on anachronistic soundtracks, either, but Florence and the Machine’s song works. Brilliantly.
Don’t even know why I fretted over which story gets to be written when and so on. I realized that it doesn’t matter when I write the third novella since the release dates for all three aren’t in a monthly sequence. There’ll be gaps of varying numbers of months, unlike the short stories I released last year.
Which means I might as well wait off on the third novella in order to begin work on Masks number seven. I want to finish the series in a timely manner even if it’ll be a pretty bittersweet process.
And speaking of the Masks series, my rights to my books from Prizm will begin reverting back to me on September, and the first three novels to be pulled with be Masks: Rise of Heroes, Icarus in Flight, and Banshee. Yes, I plan to go back and revise those books further and then re-release them with new covers, etc., and that’ll be true with every title that I get back from Prizm.
It’s going to be a pretty busy second half of 2013 and beyond. But don’t worry (say I to myself)! A healthy dose of Bruce Springsteen-style zydeco will make it all better.
Damn straight, pay me my money down, buster!
The coolness, it burns…
Ahhhh…
Anyway, I’ll be doing some construction around here this week (tonight, mebbe?). I want to create a static front page, play around with background images, etc., so if you visit my blog and get all freaked by so many split-second changes happening while you’re looking around, you know why.
Of course, I’d love to spread rumors about my blog being haunted, but that’s taking things a bit too far.
